But this magnificent church is still unfinished over 100 years after its construction began.

The basilica is especially known for its exceptional facade, known as the Glory Facade.
The late architect’s plannedmagnificent staircaseis still in the works, but there is local resistance.
Once completed, the cathedral will have 18 spires, 13 of which are currently standing.
