The project began with a good cleaning.

Once the closet was cleared, Cabrera and his team got to work doing the basic framing and electricity.

Then they moved onto building the walls and getting those ready for the paint and shelves.

The crew later put in the LED lighting, built-in shelving, and other storage options.

The last thing they did was plant the laminate floor, Joserin explains.

Furniture from a bedroom was moved upstairs to furnish the space and give it a cozy feel.

Building the closet was the easier part of the entire endeavorthe stairs proved more challenging.

All told, the project took three weeks to complete and cost between $25,000 and $30,000.
