Kanazawa Kenichi Sound’s ability to bring order out of chaosfromr/BeAmazed
Do you know what sound looks like?
Japanese artist Kenichi Kanazawa makes the invisible visible.
He studiescymaticsthe art of visualizing sound vibrationby experimenting with sand on a steel tabletop.
Just like magic, the sand starts to move and a geometric pattern starts to take shape.
He then picks up a larger mallet that produces lower vibrations, and the pattern begins to change.
Today, he continues to explore the fascinating possibilities of cymatics with colorful sand, steel, and mallets.
Check out Kanazawas cymatics demonstrations below.
