Modern Design: New Pool Suites at the Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas

The suites were designed to cater to Hard Rock’s hip, young, and music-loving guests. The design concept of the Gorilla Suite was to create a dark twisted take on a library/cigar bar. Web Preview: Amy Sol’s Wilderness Buffet

Yesterday, I received an email from the CoproGallery letting me know about the special web preview to Amy Sol’s new show, The Wilderness Buffet. It’s a small collection of new works created with acrylic on wood panel, that emphasize Amy Sol’s adoration of nature, inner exploration, and musings of latent ties that bind living things with earth and consciousness. Each scene interprets a gentle ceremony of creatures in a realm bathed with energetic patterns; the subtly muted tones seem to suggest the colors themselves are alive, yet sleeping....

Burger King is Getting a Modern Make-Over

Bye bye generic fast food chain, hello modern mecca! It feels so much more like an upscale restaurant. According to Burger King, the restaurant remodels have led to sales increases of 12 to 15 percent. But others are skeptical about whether sales will climb as much as the company claims. People in the fast-food category are recognizing they’ve been losing customers to the fast-casual player, he said. What this sounds like is an attempt to get that dining-in business back by making it an attractive environment....

Beautiful Complex Eerie – The Works of David Choe: San Jose

The work below from David Choe is a mix between oil paintings, mixed media, and wall murals. I really like the way his images are beautiful and complex, yet eerie. Thanks toAlbertfor the recommendation! Per Wiki: David Choe is of Korean descent and was born and raised in Los Angeles. He dropped out of art school, to become a wandering street/graffitiartist. He acknowledges being a thief to support his life-style, and a number of arrests from vandalism to assault....
