Robert Irwin’s Bushfire was voted the People’s Choice Award Winner.

The image displays a blaze ripping through the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve in Cape York, Queensland, Australia.

The56th cohort of outstanding imageswas announced in December 2020.

At that time, 25 images were shortlisted for the People’s Choice Award.

And now,Robert IrwinsBushfiretaken during the Australian fires of early 2020has been crowned the winner.

Irwin’s image was chosen by popular vote from the 25 images nominated for the People’s Choice Award.

Irwin’s image is not the only popular image to present part of the peril facing life on Earth.
